Annibale Carracci was an Italian painter born in 1560 in Bologna. He apprenticed in his family's workshop and in 1582 opened a painting studio in Bologna with his brother Agostino and cousin Ludovico Carracci. In 1595, he and his brother went to Rome to decorate the Palazzo Farnese. Annibale died in 1609 in Rome and was buried there.
