    The school recently held its annual English Language Week organized by the English Language Society, which included inter-school competitions in Debate, Elocution, and Spelling Quiz for the first time. Their school won the Debate while the other two competitions were won by other schools. Additional intra-school events included Poetry Recitals, Essay Writing, and Scrabble. The Headmaster made speaking English compulsory that week and gave his speech in English. Plans are in place to have more inter-school events next year.

    REPORT ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE WEEK

    Our school recently held its English Language Week.This event,which is organized annually by the English Language Society(ELS),was slightly more interesting this time around. The ELS President received the green light from our Headmaster to organize a few inter-school competitions.In previous years the events were limited to inter-class competitions at school level. Some of the events that were open to other schools were the Debate,Elocution Contest and Spelling Quiz.Our school won the debate while the other two competitions were won by Sekolah Menengah Convent and Sekolah Menengah Alam Megah respectively. Other events held at school level were the Poetry Recitals,Essay Writing Contest and Scrabble Competitions. The Headmaster also made it compulsory for everyone speaks English that week,and he started off by giving his speech in English. We hope to have more inter-school events during the English Language Week next year.
