Stash Buster Caterpillar

Size 30.5cm length, 16.5cm circumference (12 6.5) Note: The caterpillar is knit lengthwise. Ingredients 1 ball of Lion Brand Wool Ease or similar worsted weight yarn oddballs of brightly coloured yarn for the legs and antenna 4mm (US 6) size G crochet hook 2 sewon googlie eyes Polyester stuffing Directions

Body
Cast on 60 sts. Knit in garter st until work measure 30.5cm from beginning. Bind off all sts. Weave in ends.

Legs
Make 2 of each colour with crochet hook. Chain 8, turn, sc in each chain. Fasten end.

Antenae
Chain 12, join to make a circle in 6th chain, sc in each remaining chain to end. Fasten end. Seam cast on and bind off rows together. You will now have a long narrow tube. Sew one end of the tube closed. Use 4 equal pieces of stuff rolled up into a ball about the size of a tennis ball. Stuff into the body of the caterpillar. Sew other end closed. Sew googlie eyes, legs and antenna, using the photo as a guide. Tie sections with lengths of yarn to form sections on body.

*Note: If making this for a small child, embroider eyes instead of sewing on the eyes for safety.
