One Child Policy

Introduced in 1979 to decrease Chinas booming population. One child per family unless the two parents were only children. Impacts most urban areas. The one child policy will lead children to be obese and spoiled. In rural areas family's can have up to 2 children. If familys have an only child they will be given a card to pay for medicine, health, and education. But they have to pay for clothing and food . Fu Jin Tao is overzealous about the policy.

Food
Dumplings are traditional Chinese food made of meat or vegetables with a dough covering around the meat or vegetables. Rice is also a traditional Chinese food eaten almost every day. Baozi are like dumplings but have a thicker dough covering. Moon Cake is a traditional Chinese dessert eaten during the Chinese New Year.

Chinese Structures
Some examples are the Forbidden City, Tian An Men Square, and the Great Wall of China. Some of these structures were made in the Qin dynasty (around 2700 years ago). The Great Wall is Around 5.5 thousand miles including all sections. All of these structures are in Beijing. (The Great Wall goes through more provinces).

Leaders/Important People
Hu JinTao is the current leader of China. Hu JinTao took office on March 15 2003. One of the most famous leader ever to rule China is Mao Ze Dong and he was the leader from 1949 to 1958. Confucius was one of the most famous Chinese people , he was very smart and was one of the greatest philosophers ever.

Culture
Chinese New Year occurs in February and lasts 15 days. Here are some class zodiac signs.
