COMMENT ON THE MODULE

The module discusses on the Philosophical aspect of Education. This explains how Philosophy plays an important role in the field of education. It had been observed that in this module, foreign philosophers such as: Dewey, Socrates, Aristotle, Plato and many others had been discussed and mostly adapted by the Philippine curriculum. This module also discusses the philosophies of the Filipino Philosophers as cited in the module. One thing that we would like to stress out, our Philippine school curriculum mostly based on foreign Philosophies were of attitudes, habits, beliefs, included in the curriculum is based on foreign and western settings. Should DepEd be more concerned that these philosophies of education be pragmatically used. They must give due consideration on the philosophies of education adapted by Filipino Philosophers in advance.
