Film Review

The Day After Tomorrow (2004), directed by Roland Emmerich, is an science fiction film. The main stars are Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Quaid. In 2004, research climatologist Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) indicates that global warming could cause an abrupt and catastrophic change in the Earth's climate plus million deaths. Extracts glacial been drilled in Antarctica show that a phenomenon like this kind happened before, ten thousand years ago. And now alerting authorities that it could happen again if they do not act swiftly. However, his warning comes too late.the film is a hypothesis of the findings presented in the thesis of climate change. Althogh some parts are really exiting. I think the movie has an ending too abrupt. Also some scenes, such as Hailstones the size of an orange shake Tokyo, record-breaking hurricane whose winds hit Hawaii, a falling snow in New Delhi, and after a series of tornadoes devastated Los Angeles leaves. However, most of the special effects are exellent and the acting is good as well. Dennis Quaid is great, althoght Jake Gyllenhaal is the real star of the show! I really enjoy The Day After Tomorrow. It`s definitely worth seeing. Don`t miss it!
