Dear Amy,

You have been selected by the faculty of the Sport Science Department to receive the Minnick-McCoy Award. This award will be presented at our annual Academic Awards and Recognition Convocation on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 11:00 a'm. in the Harper McNeeley Auditorium. As is our tradition, we extend to you an opportunity to select a teacher/mentor who has had a significant effect upon your academic pursuits. You may invite that person and your parents to be present for the Academic Awards Convocation and a luncheon in Halliehurst Hall immediately following the Convocation. Please stop by my office (LA 106) or call me (ext.1292\ as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, April 12' 2013 to let me know the name of the person you select as your mentor, the names of those whom you would like to be invited to share this honor with you and whether or not you will be attending. I need this information so we will have an accurate count of persons attending the luncheon.
