Government Websites
The increased use of the internet by the government is causing unrest and distrust in people around the world because of moving aggression, government censorship, and antigovernment hackivists. Hackivists is a term used to describe a collective or group of internet hackers.
Anti-government Groups
A group by the name Anonymous has done great damage to the websites the government uses. Censorship of political speech and information, on the Internet, is routinely used in China to silence criticism of the government and the ruling Communist Party. Many anti-government groups have joined to form the Anonymous, mostly in censored areas like China.
Recent Activity
The Anonymous recently hacked the government United States Sentencing Commission on January 25, 2013 that they called Operation Last Resort after a member of their group killed themself. In the hack, the Anonymous replaced the government webpage with a service page commending the dead member.
