PRS Running Club To Award College Scholarship To Deserving High School Senior
The PRS Running Club of Jacksonville, Florida was founded by a group of dedicated running friends who felt that our community needed a running club where, on any given day of the week, runners of all abilities could meet up for a great run and a good time. In August 2012, the Club was officially chartered as a non-profit with the mission of promoting and encouraging running by educating the community on the benefits of distance running and endurance athletics. To further its mission, the PRS Running Club will award its first annual PRSRC Scholarship to a deserving high school senior participating in cross country and/or track who best exemplifies excellence in running, character and academics. The winner of the scholarship will receive $1,500.00 to help with expenses for his or her 2013-2014 freshman year of college.
