Homeworkit can make our home a haven or a battleground.

Fortunately, parents can set the tone for a positive homework environment. It takes planning and perseverance, but the rewards are well worth your time and effort. Making homework a family commitment can help your child develop lifelong study skills, self-discipline, responsibility, and independence. Here are some tips:

Know what kind of homework is expected from teachers, and be sure your child completes it on time.

Provide your child with a regular, quiet place, where they can do homework.

SAFETY NOTICE
Parents and Families, Please enter WLCPs parking lot from 9th Ave and exit onto 8th Ave. We are in front of the school to open car doors and welcome students. If you would like to park you vehicle, please park in the stalls closest to 8th Ave.

Encourage perseverance and effort in your child. These qualities are the keys to success in life.

Be consistent: Agree upon homework rules, and be sure they are followed.

Once your child completes the homework, review it together.

Give your child examples of how the work will apply to real life.
