CAN and CANT

CAN
Can is a modal verb. It is used with the base form of a verb. We use can for thing that we are able to do and things that we think that we can do. We can use CAN when we are mentioning a quality or fact about something which people may make use of if they want to.

Examples for can


example: He can speak Spanish. She can write. Justin can ride a horse. Harry can eat a chocolate. My mother can teach me english.

CANT

The form cannot is used in negative statements. We use cannot or cant for things that we arent able to do. The visual spoken form of cannot is cant.

Mia cant drive a car. We cant sing. I cant make a cake. He cant build a house. You cant stop speaking. They cant draw a picture. You cant cook.

Can I/you/he/she/it/we/you/they?
We use can I/you/he/she/it/we/you/they for question statiements.We use the question statiement from the modal verb CAN to ask someone if he/she/it is able to do the acitivity.

Examples: Can you read me a story? Can we ride a bike? Can she make a cookie? Can you tidy your room? Can he make a picture?

ATTENTION!!! for can


We dont put S on the verbs, when we make sentences with He,She, It. example: She can cleans the dishes.- incorrect! She can clean the dishes. correct!
