5TH GRADE NEWS!

Dear 5th grade parents, Your kids did such a WONDERFUL job in the play last weekend! It was so fun to see them perform and I was so proud of them all :). I hope you enjoyed the show too! In math this week, the orange group reviewed for and took a quiz on solid figures, faces, edges, vertices and nets. They also began working with surface area and problem solving skills. The red group reviewed for and took their chapter 12 quiz. They also began chapter 13 and are learning about probability. In English this week, students worked on their capitalization and punctuation unit. In Language Arts this week began a new set of literature circle books. They are working hard on their participation in their discussion groups!

Audubon Trip
Next week the students will be going on their Audubon trip from WednesdayFriday. They are really looking forward to this trip! Please make sure you check the weather forecast for Sandstone, MN to make sure your child packs for the weather! It is going to be colder, so make sure to send lots of layers! Also make sure your child has rain boots or snow boots as they still have some snow/puddles at the camp!
