North China Plain: One of the main regions of Inner china. This plain is drier and cooler than the Chang Jiang basin, which is wars and wet. It is one of the two main inner plains in china. Chang Jiang Basins: A mountain range in Inner China. To the south of the north china plain is low river plain that have a warm and wet climate used for growing rice. Huang He River: Its one of the largest and muddiest rivers in the world. The river starts in the high western mountains and winds down to the eastern plains; the river has helped farmers and has been a great source of many disasters because of its floods. Its called the yellow river Chang Jiang River: The Chang Jiang River is even larger that the Huang He River, its name means Long River. This river has hundreds of tributaries, and has been a big help because people have been able to move goods between eastern and western mountains. The river also starts in the high western mountains and winds down to the eastern pains. Taklimakan Desert: The Taklimakan Desert is about 105,000 square miles and is believed to be the most dangerous desert in the world. With the deserts powerful winds it shifts the dunes and creates large sandstorms. Legend says that two armies and 300 cities are buried 600 ft. beneath the sand dunes.

Gobi Desert: Stretching over 500,00 square mile the Gobi desert is one of the worlds largest desert. IT covers parts of china and present day Mongolia. Unlike the Taklimakan Desert, the Gobi has very few sand dunes. Its surface is made up of small pebbles and tiny bits of sand. Oasis: A place where water can be found in the desert. Silt: Fine particles of rock Tributary: A stream that feeds into a larger river.
