Old Testament p 101- Jewish people refer to the bible as the Old Testament Descendant p 104- A daughter or son, and granddaughter or grandson Covenant p 104- A sacred argument or promise Exodus p 106- The escape of the Hebrews from Egyptian Slavery Prophet p 106- A person who speaks or interprets for god to other people Plague p 106- A terrible disaster affecting many people and thought to be sent by god as a punishment Ten Commandments p 107- The ten laws said to be given to Moses by god Sabbath p 107- The seventh day of the week used for rest and worship, according to one of the Ten Commandments Ark of the Covenant p 108- The chest containing the Ten Commandment, written on stone tablets, that the Hebrews carried with them during their wanderings after their flight from Egypt Jerusalem p 108- The capital of Israel, a city in Canaan
