What I Like It requires all students to participate There is a development of a Democratic way of thinking; allowing students to cooperate in the

discussion and express their opinions It stimulates thought, wonder, explanation, reflection, and re-call Students learn to tolerate the views of their peers

What I Dislike Topic being discussed must be controversial Cannot be used when teaching smaller children Cannot be used as an introduction to beginning a lesson because students must have some prior knowledge of the topic Every student not being able to voice their opinion/Time-constraint

How can I utilize this model? In a History or English lesson that allows the students to take/have different standpoints/viewpoints. I would preferably use the Discussion model when having students discuss specific characters or events in their Literature or History Books.
