Students will demonstrate their learning and understanding through English language arts and visual arts. My goal for this lesson is for students to show an understanding of plants basic needs and demonstrate why plants need these particular essentials. Appropriateness: The learning objectives for lesson three are developmentally appropriate and engaging for all students. Students already know the parts of a plant and the basic needs of these parts, which were taught in a previous lesson. Majority of a plants needs are already known by majority of the class. Prior knowledge and things that have been taught in the home environment can help assist students with recalling basic needs for plants. The learning objectives for this lesson integrate language arts and science. Students will have a greater opportunity to express their learning. The class will write about the basic needs of a plant and then plant their own seeds.

Victoria McDonald TWS 2-ECED 429 The seeds that each student will plant will be their responsibility and they will have to monitor it to assure seeds are receiving enough sunlight, water, space, air, and nutrients. These learning objectives allow students to be hands on and are developmentally appropriate.
