Health Specialist UNICEF Senegal Dr. Mariam Sylla Diene has experience of nearly 10 years in the coordination, planning, implementation and monitoring /evaluation of interventions in the areas of health community, maternal and neonatal health, including the prevention of transmission mother-child and pediatric care of HIV. She is pediatrician, community health specialist oriented in HIV. She has worked in the Senegal MOH at the Division fight against HIV in charge of VCT and PTMCT programs. Since 2009, she is working with UNICEF Senegal country office, in charge of maternal and neonatal health, PTMCT and HIV pediatric care, and community health program. She supported the government at both strategic and operational levels. She is a national trainer on newborn home care and has contributed at the implementation of this strategy in Senegal.
