Anderson Dairy

The students would get to walk around the dairy factory and see how everything is made and packaged. They may even get to try some. They can ask questions and learn why the supply and demand system is so important

History: H3.1.2A Identify and describe occupation s in the community that help people

Visitation Field Trip

Fire department coming to the school with the fire truck. Teaching students what to do in case of fire and what they do.

This is an important field trip to have because it teaches the student about safety and how to be safe during a fire or dangerous situation.

A trip to different cities

History: H1.4.5 identify contributions of immigrants in Nevada.

Natural History Museum

Taking a tour around the Natural History Museum would be fun and education. They have lots of cool things to look at from a long time ago.

Civics: C13.4.1 Identify and discuss examples of rules, laws, and authorities that keep people safe and property secure in the state of Nevada.

Visitation Field Trip

Having a police officer come and discuss ways to be safe and follow the laws of Nevada

This is a cool field trip for students because they can talk to real police officers and ask them questions that they might not be able to otherwise. Its also good because the students can learn to trust officers. The officers will come and talk to the students about safety, and the laws of the state.

1. Explain which field trip you think you will actually try to use.
I would love to do the visitation field trip. I think that it would be easy, fun, and the kids would love it. I would do either or both of the visitation field trips because I think both would serve good purposes.

2. What challenges did you run into during this assignment?


I think it would be hard to correlate days with the departments but I also think it would be a little easier for me because I have family on both Fire and Police that I could try to have help me. I think that scheduling would be the hardest part of the whole field trip.
