Important Announcement New Parking Arrangements for Students within Technology Park

Dear Students, New Parking Location for APU Students in TPM We have continuously raised to TPM the issue of the poor condition of the Park and Ride Car Park (in front of Astro), which has been a source of discomfort and inconvenience to you. TPM has now confirmed that no further improvements will be made as there are other development plans for that area. As a replacement for this, TPM will be providing special parking arrangements for our students to use the newly-constructed Car Park area (Car Park East 4), which is located close to the APU Building and is opposite the Patimas Building in TPM (please see attached location map). Special Daily and Season Parking Rates for Students The normal parking rate at Car Park East 4 charged by TPM is RM5.00 per day. However, we have negotiated for a reduced rate for our students, and TPM Management has now agreed to a reduced rate of RM4.00 just for APU Students. You will have to produce your Student ID when you purchase your parking coupon to be eligible for this special rate. Other tenants and employees working in TPM would have to pay the full rate of RM5.00. At the same time, we have also negotiated a Special Season Parking Rate of only RM45 per month at Car Park East 4, exclusively for students of APU. This works out to about RM2.25 per day, assuming you park 5 days a week, or about RM2.81 per day if you park 4 days a week. Should you be interested to sign up for this, you may do so at TPMs Parking Office on the Ground Floor, Enterprise 4, TPM. We have been informed that this is subject to availability, and is allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. We believe that these new parking arrangements will provide you with greater comfort and convenience, given the proximity of Car Park East 4 to our APU Campus, Enterprise 3 and Incubator 2. With the closure of the existing Park and Ride location, we also wish to inform all students that the Park and Ride shuttle will now only operate from the new location (Car Park East 4) and will cease to operate at the current location from Thursday 14th March 2013.
