December 13
During November, the students and staff were very busy in the classrooms. Thank you to all the parents and guardians who attended our parent teacher interviews and our Scholastic Book Fair. Our festive Jingle Bell Bazaar will be held again this year on Thursday, December 13th. The School Council is still looking for donations and volunteers. The next School Council meeting will be an informal get together as we set up for the Jingle Bell Bazaar on Wednesday, December 12th at 6:30 pm. Our next spirit assembly will be held on Friday, December 21st at 11:00 am. On behalf of all the staff here at Metcalfe Public School, I would like to wish all our Metcalfe families a safe and happy holiday! The Weather If students are outside for recess, they are expected to stay outside. Therefore, wearing appropriate clothing for the season is a must. Along with the cold weather comes snow. It is very tempting to pack snow into a spherical shape and use it as a projectile against our friends. We have had many incidents of students getting hurt and of fights breaking out due to snowballs therefore they are prohibited. Please impress upon your child that throwing snowballs can be dangerous and is not tolerated. J.
