ENVIRONMENTAL AFFECTS ON OUR HEALTH

Environmental effects on our Human Health When it comes to our human health our environment has a big effect on it, some factors are that of tobacco smoke which is actually the single biggest known airborne chemical risk to our health and causes lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, asthma, emphysema and heart disease. These can be caused from the second hand smoke from those smoking around you. Urban air pollution, which is caused from industries polluting the air, water, car exhaust and smog which leads to respiratory illnesses, decreased lung function. Also molds and pollens cause allergies and asthma as well as respiratory illnesses. Environmental noise can also contribute to hearing loss or deafness. Our water supply can also affect our health, if the pipes carrying our water are lead this can leach into our supply and cause neurological problems and other chemicals and bacteria can leach into our water and cause illnesses as well as death in some cases from these various contaminants. Every aspect of our environment can affect our health some we can prevent and some are just a part of our everyday lives that we need to be conscious of and do what we can to allow them to have as little impact as possible.
