Welcome Back Nick Giarraputo Nick Giarraputo did not stick in the Chicago White Sox farm system this spring, but the the CanAm Leagues reigning Player of the Year still has time to climb the baseball ladder since he doesnt turn 25 until May 29. In the meantime, the New Jersey Jackals (Little Falls) must be thrilled to have the lanky infielder back. He jumped his home run production from six in 2010 at Sussex (Augusta, NJ) and seven with the Jackals the next season to 22 last year. He also had 24 doubles among his 113 hits, and his average has improved every year in the league from .243 to .308 to .316, the latter good for fifth place. The Californian turned professional at 18 in the New York Mets chain, but only hit three homers in four years in the organization.
