The way of making multilayered image would be varied from artist to artist, and also it is an intriguing thing for viewers to observe the diversity of the artwork.

Aim of the workshop This workshop aims at exploring how practitioners make a multi-layered image by drawing the portraits with some keywords. The practitioners will need to think about the position of each layered image.

(Please use the material that you are familiar with) v Tracing paper (A3/A4 size) v Scissors or art knife (in case you will need to cut the drawing for overlapping) What is the methodology you need the group to follow? The practitioners will be asked to choose 3 keywords of emotional feelings that I provide with as a clue for drawing the portraits (and the portrait does not have to be a self-portrait), please try to use the imagination to represent those keywords in your portrait drawings, it will make an interesting impact. 1. Choose a keyword then draw the portrait matches/represents the word. (25 min) 2. Draw the second portrait by using the same method as the first drawing. (25 min) (Break for 10 min) 3. Draw the third portrait and then overlap the 3 drawings. You will need to consider the layout/position of all the portraits (45 min). 4. Show the drawings on the wall and discuss (15 min)

How do you plan to capture the results? I will use camera to record the process (if everyone agrees with that), and take pictures of the final drawings.
