    Choice for logo, colors, typography

    The reason I chose this logo was because it


    symbolized the image of “International House”. The
    initials “I” and “H” are like pillars that supported the
    roof-like “M”.

    The chosen colors yellow, and blue are representative


    and unified with our school colors. Therefore, I would
    like to use them to also represent the diversified and
    rich culture we all embrace at school.

    This type of typography is simple and clean. The


    round shape of characters is less fancy and
    professional but more web friendly and welcoming.

    Design Process

    I am an international student myself and from my


    own perspective, the international house should
    present an image of “unity, shelter, house, colorful
    and family”. Then, I came up with all other two
    concepts which are multicolor logo and umbrella like
    logo. The multicolor logo is a little too big to become
    logo, and the umbrella like logo is somehow hard to
    relate to the internaiotnal house. In the end, I chose
    this logo as it seems more representative and
    matchable to the concept.
