The Anticipatory Set is


designed to engage the students attention at the beginning of class. Called the hook or the bell ringer, it serves as a focus for the days activities.

Initiated at the very beginning of class

it directs student attention to the learning tasks at hand. It tells the students what they are about to learn. It is NOT about
