Name: U. S. Constitution Test Review Class/Subject: US. History Date: 10/18/11 Student Objectives/Student Outcomes: 1. To be able to pass their upcoming constitution test. 2. To understand why there is a need to learn the constitution. 3. To be able to learn retain some knowledge about the Constitution after the test. Content Standards:
16.B.3c (US) Describe the way the Consti-tution has changed over time as a result of amendments and Supreme Court decisions.

Materials/Resources/Technology: Overhead projector to use for a jeopardy review game. Chalk Board. Jeopardy Game Teachers Goals: To prepare the students to do well on their Constitution test. Reinforce the lessons that have been given the last few weeks.

Start of Class: Students will get settled down, and then Teacher will ask students a few Questions about The Constitution. They will then answer and Teacher will proceed to explain the jeopardy game Introduction of Lesson: Teacher will introduce the game and set up the overhead projector so that the game is clear to the students. Make sure they know that they game is not about who wins but rather about how much each student knows.

Lesson Instruction: Play the Jeopardy game with some students divided up into even teams. Make sure that Every student gets a chance at answering a question, and That you are not keeping score so that no student seems as though they are Better than any other student.

Make sure that the game stays on task and that you are asking enough Questions to last a whole class period. Give questions that come exactly from the practice tests that were provided So that the students will able to see which kind of questions they will have On the test. Assessments/Checks for Understanding: The questions itself are a check for understanding, however after the game You could ask a few other questions to reinforce the questions from the Game.

Closure/Wrap-Up/Review: Make sure that the students know that the constitution test is an important Part of their eighth grade year. Make sure that the students know what Kind of questions to look for on the test so they are prepared once they see It.

Self-Assessment: Students should perform well on constitution test as a result of this demonstration of knowledge during review. Students should be more than prepared to pass their state required test.
