Day 1 Act 1: 1.

Phospholipids always moving around each other because they're not solid and they're arranged in a certain way. 2. Water molecules always move to the side that has the fewest water molecules with diffusion and concentration gradient. 3. When water molecules diffuse through a selectively permeable membrane is called osmosis. 4. Water and carbon dioxide molecules get through the lipid bilayer and glucose couldn't is because glucose is too big to get across. Day 2 Act 2: 1. A glucose molecule can't get through the calcium ion channel because it doesn't have a charge. 2. Calcium generally move against the concentration gradient. Day 3 Act 3: 1. The glucose carrier protein transport the glucose molecules against their concentration gradient. 2. Only glucose molecules can pass through the channels because it's polar. 3. The thing that was necessary for the glucose carrier protein to be able to transport the glucose across the membrane is the glucose channel.
