James Hook is the captain of the Jolly Roger Galleon; he is a
pirate and refuses to do anything else until he has killed Peter Pan. He has black long hair and a small whisker moustache; he has a hook for his right hand which has changeable hooks like a knife and a fork. He has a right-hand man called Smee, and is not the First mate as some believe. He was black beards boatswain and the nemesis of Peter Pan. He is also the only man that Long John Silver feared. He was originally voiced by Hans Conried in 1953; Hook was to be originally female but then was later changed to male. He has appeared in all of the Peter Pan films as he is the antagonist of them. At the end of the film “Peter Pan” he falls off the plank of the Jolly Roger and then is supposedly eaten by a crocodile which follows him everywhere ever since it ate his hand. But later films show he doesn’t die and that he somehow survives.
