Evaluation activity 7

Looking back at your preliminary task (the continuity editing task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

In this activity, I will evaluate my knowledge towards the shot types, editing terminology and techniques that I have used throughout the production of my final film opening. I will compare the success of my preliminary task to the final product and analyse the key things that I have learnt or made an improvement with. My main concentration will be on the 180 degree rule, match on action and shot/reverse shot as well as other useful techniques that I have learnt whilst filming my final product.

Preliminary task
The preliminary task introduced me to a good selection of editing and filming techniques which helped me with my final film production. This included setting up the camera and the tripod, working with editing software, framing my shots correctly and incorporating rules of filming. I also became aware of the importance of team work and concentration during the filming process.
