Hometown: Buffalo, NY Alma mater: B.A. English and Communication Studies 10, Canisius College; M.A. Communication Theory and Research 11, WVU. Emphasis Areas: Health Communication with special emphasis on health literacy and disability studies, and Instructional Communication. Short Statement: I consider it a great privilege to be a part of WVU's Communication Studies Ph.D. program. I am continually given opportunities to work with our prolific, highly respected faculty as well as to pursue my own research interests in my coursework. The Ph.D. program at WVU fosters graduate student growth as scholars, researchers, instructors, and active members in the field of Communication Studies.
