Individual assessments will take place this month and next in preparation for the term 3 Progress Report. Themes
We will continue our theme on les contes de fes (fairy tales) by reading The 3 Little Pigs and begin our theme on butterflies at the end of the month. Please continue to review the vocabulary daily. Reading and Writing We will continue to develop strategies for interactive writing, invented spelling, as well as shared reading.

Upcoming event:
Please return the home reading books every MONDAY (Div. 27F) & TUESDAY (Div 28F). Until the students receive their next book a few days later, they will read their book to the class, teacher and in pairs. For everyone to be able to participate in these activities, it is important that all students have their books on the designated day. Tuesday, May 2nd: The Big One. You received a letter end of April from Mr. Cortens regarding an early dismissal at 2:15pm. The letter is also posted outside of the classroom. Wednesday, May 8th: All Kindergarten students will have a dental screening today. Thursday, May 9th: In class Mothers Day Performance (2:40 3:00pm) Wednesday, May 10th: Professional Development Day (no school for students) Thursday, May16th: A second hearing screening will be performed for students who were absent the first time and for those who were recommended to have further testing. Thursday, May 17th: Sports Day! Volunteers will be needed on this day! More information to follow. Monday, May 20th: Holiday (school closed) Thursday, May 27th: Field Trip to the International Childrens Festival at Granville Island. See permission form and e-mails (closer to date) for details.
