 Two movements of the Earths

day and night and the season on
Earth
 At the equator, the Earth rotates at
a speed of about 1600 kilometers per
hour.
The Earth axis is tilted at an angle of
23½°

summer
•Summers start on June 20 or 21

•December 21 or 22 is winter solstice
•Twice a year (Autumn and Spring) neither
north or south poles
•Spring begins March 20 or 21
