Acoustic Band Competition Mechanics: 1.

Open to any amateur Acoustic band with members not younger than 18 years old but not older than 35 years old(non-professional/non-recording) 2. It is pre-requisite that the group likes the official Facebook accounts of both Cowboy Grill www.facebook.com/cowboygrillrestobarph?fref=ts and JKA Events and Casting Agency www.facebook.com/JkaEventsAndCastingAgency?ref=ts&fref=ts 3. They must submit their band profile with group picture (PDF format) and link to a recorded video performance posted on YouTube through email: contest.cowboygrill@gmail.com with the subject: Acoustic Battle (ONLINE REGISTRATION) 4. They will automatically receive a reply with an attached mechanics and registration form. 5. The Audio recording must be clear, otherwise it will be rejected. 6. Online Registration will be from May 1 to May 20, 2013. 7. Each video will be screened by the COWBOY GRILL weekly. Bands who will be qualified shall be notified through email and text message regarding a schedule of interview and submission of the completely filled up Registration form. 8. The Band should have a minimum of two (2) members and a maximum of four (4). They will be required to bring their own musical instruments during the elimination/ qualifying rounds. 9. Ten (10) Bands will be chosen to compete in the elimination round on May 21 & 28, 2013 (Tuesdays) to be held at Cowboy Grill Malate, Manila. 10. Bands must prepare a total of 3 songs for the eliminations. Songs can be an original piece or a cover. (non-medley) 11. The Band will be given 17 minutes each performance, including the setup of instruments. Time is of essence. One (1) point will be deducted to their score for every minute in excess. 12. Five (5) Bands out of ten (10) will be competing for the Grand Finals on June 6, 2013 (Thursday) to be held at Cowboy Grill Malate, Manila. 13. Criteria for judging: o MUSICALITY 80% Vocal Power 40% Instrumentation 20% Creativity in rendition 20% o STAGE POWER 20% Audience Impact 10% Facebook lmpact 10% ___ TOTAL 100%

14. Prizes: o Elimination Round Top Five Bands shall receive P2000 cash plus a chance to compete at the Grand Finals. Non-winners shall receive gift certificates from Cowboy Grill o Grand Finals Grand Champion P10,000 cash Plaque of recognition & certification A chance to play at a big concert event on June 27, 2013 at Cowboy Grill Delta, Quezon Ave.(Opening act for a Big Artist) 1st Runner up All prizes mentioned above except for the cash prize: P5,000 nd 2 Runner up All prizes mentioned above except for the cash prize: P3,000 Consolation Prizes Certificate of participation Gift Certificates Special Awards from JKA (title to follow)
