In this print screen, it shows my promotional video in the making. I am using adobe premiere as I believe it is easier to use than other editing software. Footage wise I have about half an hours worth. In the clip bin above it states I have 133 items, 123 of those are original footage, the rest are either trimmed down copies or title sequences. Next to the clips bin is the time line. Here I have up to two and a half minutes worth. The film follows the narrative of the head teacher of Lionwood Infant School as she talks about the way they teach and inspire children. The narrative structure coincides with the footage. I have taken the audio out of the head teachers shots and placed them underneath other shots. I tried to make it look like each time the subject changes the type of footage changes. E.g. if the head teacher talks about her teaching staff, the footage will change to the staff with the pupils. Between shots I have used simple fades to make the video flow, so far it has worked. The only other transitions I have used are simple slides which I have used on the text which states the heads name at the beginning. Underneath all of this I have used a sound track comprised of children singing. I have done this because I believe it is a nice touch and because it doesnt coincide with Ofcom copyright laws. I have used Adobe Audition to edit the soundtrack. To get it into Premiere I had to export it via an MP3 format. Change of Plans Whilst editing I have found that the video is too long if I used the head teacher narrative, children interviews and the Childs journey so in the end I choose to scrap the childs journey. I had consulted my client and they said that they were fine with it. Without the childs journey, the video was up to about 4 minutes; with it added on it would have been about 7.

In this screen shot, it shows me editing the sound track on Adobe Audition. Before hand I had to chamber the music into both channels so it would play out in both. Before hand it was only playing out of the right. I simply copied and pasted it into both sound channels. After doing that I copied it all over to a multi track. To make it look like a seamless transition, I used simple fades at the start and the end.
