Hoarding In-Class Activity/ Rogerian Argument Practice Addiction is more disturbing than hoarding.

1) Addicts inflect self-harm in a more direct way. Allison would inhale the drug and the effects were more immediate and life threatening. 2) Addiction completely takes over their lives much faster than hoarding. Ex: Allison was in bad shape after one year but in the episode of hoarding it took nearly 30 years for the house to get as bad as it did. 3) Many addicts start and continue their habits intentionally while hoarders often do not even realize that what they are doing is not normal behavior. Ex: Tamera and Allison intentionally hurt themselves to release their pain. Lisa just thought she was collecting Add Counterargument 1) Hoarding can affect other such as neighbors, friends, family and pets because of the unsanitary conditions it creates. 2) Addiction is a physical dependence but hoarding doesnt cause a physical dependence so there is no logical way to explain it. 3) The houses or hoarders become so disgusting they are literally hazardous to the health of those who live in it or visit.
