The Humble Prince

Long ago, there lived a sad king. He was sad because he did not have any children. One day, when he went hunting, he found a baby. The king adopted the baby and named him Prince Taming. Soon, the queen gave birth to two other sons, Prince Masri and Prince Kirat. The three princes grew up loving each other. When the King became ill, he had to rest. He had to choose one of the princes as king. The princes had to prove to him that they were wise and brave. Prince Masri and Prince Kirat lied to the king. They told him that they were brave. Prince Taming had nothing to tell. He was not brave. He was only kind and generous. The king became angry. He asked Prince Taming to leave the palace. When the people heard this, they were angry. They told the king the truth. They said that they wanted the kind, generous, helpful and humble Prince Taming to be the king. The king realised that Prince Taming should be king. So, Prince Taming became the next king. He ruled the kingdom wisely.
