St. Mary Annes Elementary is located in Temple Hills, Maryland. Four hundred and twenty students and fourteen full-time teachers enter the doors of St. Mary Annes Elementary daily. Students must wear the mandatory uniform. A Before and After Care program is also available at St. Mary Annes Elementary. In recent years the budget constraints have prevented new library material from being purchased. The media specialist reports that the principal is supportive of the program but does not allow any funds to support the program. St. Mary Annes Elementary library staff consists of one certified media specialist who provides services for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

The media specialist provides these services with a fixed schedule on Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday by meeting with four classes for forty-five minutes each. She meets with the Kindergarten, 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 grade teams for an hour once a week. On Wednesdays, the media specialist completes her professional responsibilities by reviewing material, providing instructions for TAG (Talented and Gifted) students and working on testing materials. The library holdings for St. Mary Annes Elementary are significant with the E (everyones or everybodys) leading the count with 2, 311 books. The next largest holding is the 900s History/Biographies with 1,528 followed by the 500s Natural Sciences with 1,504 books.
