When creating the questionnaire, I had difficulty avoiding music history questions that did not address style, technique, and musicality. This standard is a proficiency requirement for 12th grade, but I do not think that all students at this level will have learned this material if they have not taken a music history class. Students will know the answers to these questions if they learn or study music in class (choir, general music, or music history) from these genres, styles, and eras.
