I have read an article about high education. The American higher-education system has long been seen as a leader in the world. In 1962 one cent of every dollar spent in America went on higher education and today this figure has tripled. Wherever the money is coming from, and however it is being spent, the root of the crisis in higher education comes down to the fact that additional value has not been created to match this extra spending. Some argue that universities are clinging to a medieval concept of education in an age of mass enrolment. For this project, I want to focus on several aspects, like tuition, graduate system, school life, living.

As we know, different countries have different high education system. Taking an example from my background, once you enter in university in China, you can graduate very easily even though you do not need to study too much and the tuition in China is very high. However, as we know, American universities are very difficult to graduate because they are very strict about GPA and credits, and I think the tuition for American students are very cheap, but the international students tuition may triple or more than American students. The tuition increases, however, I think the education is not connect with how much we paid for school. For example, I have taken TOEFL class before I came to the United States and it was cost almost two thousand dollars, but I do not think this would be very helpful. I remembered I have seen a video when I was in high school which point out a main idea: some people hate school but love education.

Compare China and United States tuition, In general, the tuition for most universities in China is not high, about 3000-4000 dollars per year, but there have some private school that have to pay 10,000-20,000 per year, and the tuition is also relate to the major. One more thing, the tuition for everyone, include international students are same. However, in United States, the local students which means the American students pay less tuition, but the international students tuition is three times higher or more. We as a society, through our secondary schools, and by way of the government, have created failure in the education market. We see a bachelor's degree as the only means to a successful life; we promote it through scholarships and affirmative action.
