Moving company brings 75 new jobs to Dinwiddie County

DinwiddieNelson Westerberg, a moving and relocation service company and agent to Atlas Van Lines, has established an 82,000 square foot operation at the former Ingram Books facility, located at 25410 A Weakley Road, in Petersburg. With this location the company now adds a Virginia/DC market outlet to its existing national and global presence, and brings 75 new jobs to Dinwiddie. We are thrilled to have Nelson Westerberg join our community, said Dr. Mark Moore, chairman of the Dinwiddie County Board of Supervisors, and are truly excited about the reuse of this facility and the possible job opportunities this announcement brings for our citizens. Nelson Westerberg is a family-owned and operated business first founded in 1904, initially moving coal and ice. Since that time, the company has expanded to provide moving management services for domestic and corporate clients, for the US military and international clients. Nelson Westerberg is a US General Services Administration-approved service provider. Matt Smith will serve as the general manager and vice president of Nelson Westerberg of Virginia. The company will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration on Thursday, May 9th at 11 am at its new location. For more information about the company, go to www.nelsonwesterberg.com.
