CLASS CALENDAR Talking about the seasons, days of the week, cardinal numbers, temperature and weather.

Make this colourful class calendar, children can use it to repeat the date and weather everytime they have an English lesson. You can make you calendar look really personal by adding special events and birthdays! Course: PRIMARY Material: 64cmx88cm coloured cardboard, paper, colours, scissors, glue, sharp knife and children's imagination! *sizes that work well with the poster sizes indicated: day: 10x30cm date: 7x14 month and year: 20x25cm season, temperature and weather: 15x15cm special events: 7x14cm Instructions: - Ask the class what topics do you need for a class calendar and write their suggestions on the board. When you have agreed divide the class into different groups and give each group a task. - Ask them to prepare the various sheet of paper that you need for the calendar. - Discuss potential decorations before starting, encouragin children to use their imagination for the colours, decorations and drawings to put in the calendar. - Remain the children to leave a margin around th edges of the cards as the cards will be slotted into the poster. While the children are preparing the pieces of paper, cut slots in the poster for holding the cards. Leave a space at the end of your poster to stick special events and birthdays. Ask your children to adjust the calendar everyday. You can use the calendar for a variety of oral and written exercices.
