Discarded to Divine 2013 at De Young and Gensler San Francisco, CA- TUESDAY, March 5, 2013- Discarded to Divine is one of the most anticipated fashion events in the Bay Area attracting over 1,000 viewers. This charitable event showcases the designs of professional and aspiring designers who transform discarded, unwanted clothing into couture one-of-a-kind pieces. The proceeds of this event will go to the St. Vincent De Paul society of San Francisco wellness center to benefit those overcoming poverty, homelessness and domestic violence. San Francisco Magazine states, Enter Discarded to Divine, a unique event that celebrates and enables new beginnings, where leading and aspiring designers transform discarded clothes into wearable works of art and exquisite home decor. The gala, cocktail reception and silent auction will take place on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Gensler, 2 Harrison Street. Doors will open at 6:00pm. Tickets for Discarded to Divine Salon and Silent Auction can be purchased online at www.discardedtodivine.org. Enjoy the preview night Friday, April 12 at the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park. This exhibit is open from 5:30- 8:30pm. Tickets are not required for this event.
