APPROVED: RESTRUCTURING OF FOW OFFICERS FOR 2013-2014

CURRENT BY-LAWS: Article V. FOW STRUCTURE FOW shall be comprised of the following elected officers: President (must have a child in 1st Grade or higher) Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Budget Committee Chair Fundraising Committee Chair OR Two Co-Presidents (one must have a child in 1st Grade or higher) Secretary Treasurer Budget Committee Chair Fundraising Committee Chair ________________________________________________________________________________________________ NEW PROPOSED POSITIONS (synopses edited from current by-laws): Co-Presidents (2): - Oversight and support of all operations including but not limited to Fundraising, Hospitality, Communications, and Finances. - Create FOW meeting agenda based on current business and open call for items prior to meetings and conducts meetings in an efficient and timely manner. - Act as liaison between FOW and Walgrove Administration - Act as Parent Center Coordinator (new) Vice Presidents of Fundraising (2): - Coordinate and recruit volunteers for all fundraising events and programs throughout the year Vice President of Hospitality and Events: - Oversight of Hospitality Committee which manages all FOW-sponsored events (including support of fundraising events) and supports school events as requested. Vice President of Room Parent Coordination and Communications : - Recruits and coordinates the Room Parent community for year-long teacher support - Oversight of weekly RP e-mails - Oversight of weekly Wednesday Packets with Walgrove Administration Secretary: - Attend take minutes of all FOW meetings. - Count and record ballots from open votes at FOW meetings. - Provide administrative support to the rest of Board. Treasurer: - Oversight of approved budget and accounting controls. - Taxes, insurance, compliance with state law - Processes payroll Controller: - Controls day-to-day financial transactions - Cash Flow Management (statements for Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, etc.)
