While the industrial output may look better in March but still to my mind the industry is sluggish and various sectors have shown de growth. The manufacturing sector, constituting over 75 per cent of the index, grew by 3.2 per cent in March as against a decline of 3.6 per cent in the same month of 2012 and thus the growth in March in manufacturing comes over a negative base and can hardly be looked as a revival in manufacturing. There is still an overall decline in economic activity and consumer demand. It is still some time to go before we actually see growth coming in the true sense.
