Kian Wants to Play

Children are born to play. By playing, children learn to discover the world. But how could this child play and discover the world if he is blind?

Lance Kian Ibaez is a 5 year-old pupil of Agripino P. Santos Elementary School SPED Center in the class of children with visual impairment. At present, he is in the kindergarten level.

Let the Play Begin A.P. Santos SPED Center never let pupils like Kian to be neglected on things that other kids can also do. Playing is one of these. In the education, of the blind, modifications of materials are done. Tactile materials in change of visually appealing materials are applied. No things are said to be, for your eyes only. In here, you can touch it, hear it and taste it. In these ways that other senses are involved, surely our children will learn and definitely enjoy. Now, Kian is not wondering on other children playing. He is always asking, maam, maglalaro na naman po ba tayo?

With My Small Sight
