IBM N series Software Packs and Software Bundles FAQ and more information:
1) Are these IBM N series SW Packs Bundles available for IBM channel partners only? Answer No. These Bundles are available for IBM channel partners, IBM direct, IBM SO, and IBM GTS. 2) Are a la crte individual N series SW licenses still available? Answer Yes, a la crte individual N series SW licenses are still available. 3) Are these SW Bundles and Packs offered for a limited time or as part of a program Answer No. These SW Bundles and Packs will be available indefinitely. 4) Do IBM N3000 software Packs include ONTAP DSM? Answer DSM is part of Application Pack, which is currently NOT available for N3000. 5) For how many Windows Hosts is enabled DSM with the N6040 Windows Bundle? Answer - The single node systems (-A1x) have 25 DSM licenses for Windows MPIO systems, and the HA/dual controller systems (-A2x) have 50 DSM licenses. 6) Is DFM Server licenses included in any N6040 Bundles? Answer No, DFM Server licenses need to be purchased separately. 7) Is Protection Manager DR included with the Protection Pack for N3000 or part of any N6040 Bundles? Answer No. 8) Do any N6040 Bundles include SnapManager for Hyper-V? Answer No. 9) How many SMBR are included in the N6000 Windows and Complete Bundles? Answer - The Windows Bundle and the Complete Bundle include a total of 1,500 Exchange Mailboxes for single controller systems and 3000 SMBR licenses for a HA dual controller configurations. 10) Does N6040 Complete Bundle include SnapRestore? Answer - Yes. Econfig is being updated to reflect SnapRestore in Complete Bundle. 11) Are N6040 Bundles available for N6040 gateway systems? Are N6040 Bundles available for other N6000 platforms? Answer No and No 12) Will Server Pack and Application Packs be available for N3000 series? Answer Talk to your IBM representative for more information. 13) Can the Base Pack and be ordered individually for N3000 series? Answer - Yes, Base Pack is available at no charge for N3000 systems. It has to be ordered with a feature code. 14) Can the Base Pack be ordered individually for N6040? Answer - No. Base Pack for N6040 is no charge, but it is only available when ordering Windows, Virtualization, or Complete Bundles.

Answer When initially ordering a N6040 system with Windows, Virtualization, or Complete Bundles, a Base Pack is required to be ordered as well. 15) Can Base, Foundation, Protection and Advanced Pack be ordered individually for N3000 series? Answer - Yes
