When the wise are obliterated with sturm und drang and the voices of wisdom not heeded, the innocent perish until there is a new silent-time in which enough gain sufficient understanding of our mistakes. Then it is that we set ourselves on a new course toward what we think we finally really know. It is then that the tidbits of our love affairs with errant ideologies those scattered skeletons of the ages show their colors. How soon the bugles call? When the lowering of the flag?
