**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE** KALEY MAY NAMED DANVILLE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH
Danville Community High School hired Kaley May as varsity girls basketball coach at last nights Board of School Trustees meeting. May comes to Danville from her position as an assistant coach at Southport High School. Im honored by the opportunity that Danville High School has given me, said May. I am very eager and excited to start my head coaching career at such a well-respected school with a traditionally strong athletic program. A 2008 graduate of Avon High School, May was a four-year starter for the Orioles, and is the programs all-time leading scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker. She was a member of the 2008 Indiana All-Star team. Following her high school career, May played for four years at Butler University, where the Bulldogs finished with 20+ wins and bids to the WNIT tournament in three of those four seasons. May was selected from a pool of 26 applicants for the position, and will also teach high school social studies. From the very beginning of our search, Coach May was extremely impressive in every aspect of the process. Her professionalism, experience, organization, and basketball pedigree make her the right person to lead our girls basketball program, said Athletic Director Jon Regashus. May takes over a Danville program that returns all but one member of last years 12-11 team in which the Warriors reached the championship game of the Beech Grove sectional before falling to Indian Creek.
