    AcomputerinstalledwithVisualStudioTeamSystem2008Beta2(orlater),includingTeamFoundation Server.

    1)InstallingSourceCode
    Toinstallthesourcecodenecessaryforthedemonstrations,pleasefollowthesesteps: 1) FromtheVSTSALMcoursematerialsprovided,locatetheVSTSALMDemos.zipfile. 2) Extractthe.zipfiletoadirectoryonthemachine.Forpurposesofthesedemos,thedirectoryis assumedtobeC:\VSTSALMDemos TwosubdirectoriesarecreatedundertheC:\VSTSALMDemosdirectory.Onedirectory,named Working,isforcodethatmaybemodifiedduringthedemonstration.Theotherdirectory,Backup,is markedreadonlyandisdesignedsobackupfilesmaybecopiedtotheworkingdirectoryif necessary.

    2)CreatingaTeamFoundationServerproject.
    ThefollowingdemonstrationsrequireaTeamFoundationServerProject: 1) CheckinPoliciesforProcessEnforcement 2) ProcessGovernancewithVSTS 3) TestProcesses TocreatetheALMCoursewareTeamProject,followthesesteps. 1) OntheVisualStudiomainmenubar,clickFile.Fromthesubmenu,clickNew.Fromthesub menu,clickTeamProject.TheConnecttoTeamFoundationServerdialogboxisdisplayed. 2) IntheConnecttoaTeamFoundationServer:dropdownbox,choosethedefaultserver. 3) ClickOK.TheNewTeamProjectdialogboxisdisplayed. 4) IntheWhatisthenameoftheteamprojecttextbox?,typeALMCourseware. 5) ClickFinish.TheNewTeamProjectdialogisdisplayedandastatusbarisupdatedasanewteam projectiscreated.
