Week 3 Shoes Of Peace

. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be
fully prepared (Ephesians 6:15).
THE SYMBOL OF THE SHOES
1: Why do soldiers have to cover their feet? Why was it helpful to have the right
shoes for a battle in Roman times? (Think Roman times. Shoes, in Latin, are called
caligae. There are two parts to Roman soldiers military boots: Shoes & Greaves. The
caligae as a unit is similar in function to a modern soccer players shine guard and cleats.)

A PICTURE OF PEACE

5: Peace means, that in the midst of all the complications, in the midst of the pain,
in the midst of the chaos, youll have confidence. Youll have contentment. So if
thats peace, a feeling of confidence and contentment in the midst of the storms and you
say, I want that kind of peace, what keeps us from having it?
